I try to keep pretty busy here on campus. I’ve gotten involved in several organizations that I’m passionate about and love dedicating my time to. This past week I definitely tested the limits of how busy I can actually be! It seems like all day everyday I had something going on, which may seem really stressful, but I must say, I was having a blast the whole week. With Halloween approaching, the Student Union Activities Board has a ton of programming either going on or in the planning phases. This past week, I was helping to organize and execute our Haunted House and Fiesta Bingo, in addition to trying to coordinate 30 other student organizations for our annual Halloween Carnival, held for the kids of the Stillwater community.

The Haunted House turned out super scary and we had more than 130 people come out for Bingo! The Carnival is coming along nicely, and I’m happy as a clam!

And HOW ‘BOUT THEMCOWBOYS!? They put up such an INSPIRING performance against the #1 Longhorns and earned the respect of sports fans across the country. All I’ve got to say about it is that the Sooners better watch out come November!

On a more serious note, please keep the students at the University of Central Arkansas in your prayers. There was a shooting there this weekend and I have several friends and classmates from Fayetteville that attend the school. None of them were involved and the ones I’ve talked to don’t know anybody who was, but it has got to be a scary time to be a UCA student.
