Halloween at O-State!

November 3, 2008

As I mentioned last week, I have been organizing Student Union Activities Board’s Annual Halloween Carnival and this past Friday my work paid off! We had over 31 student organizations volunteer their time and manpower to make the event a success. We had all kinds of groups including international student organizations, clubs for specific majors, and many others. Each group organized a fun game for the kids of the Stillwater community to play and handed out candy all night. In fact, they handed out TONS of candy as we had over 900 kids and parents attend the event! We had a costume contest for the kids and we gave awards to some of the organizations including Peoples’ Choice and Best Dressed awards.

Everyone, including myself, had a great time getting to give back to the community on Halloween night!
